Cannot Reply to Discussion Topic Questions

This guide will help you troubleshoot when you do not see the [Reply to Thread] button on your discussion topic.

Troubleshooting

Try the following:

1. Double check the date range of the assignment. If the assignment should be open, contact your instructor. 
2. Look for [Start a New Thread]. Some topics require you to start a new thread before you can read or reply to others. If you cannot view the Threads from other students, you may need to create your own post first. Click [Start a New Thread]. 
   
   
   
   
3. If you can see the topic but you cannot interact, it may be "visible with access restricted". In this case, contact your instructor. 
4. Refresh your browser: Clear browser cache or try a different browser if the button is missing.

  • See Using Classlist.
• Use our Contact Directory to locate your instructor's contact information.
• Provide your instructor with the incident number.
