Accessing Your Course Syllabus
To access your course syllabus, click on the [Syllabus] link in the Navbar.
NOTE: The LSC Simple Syllabus page also provides access to any syllabi outside of D2L. Syllabi for Lone Star College courses completed prior to Fall 2025 are available on the Syllabus/Vitae Search page.
Reading & Acknowledging Your Syllabus
When you first open your syllabus, you may be prompted to acknowledge that you have read the syllabus after reading through a required percentage of the syllabus—this is an option your instructor can enable. For students that acknowledged reading their syllabus, the instructor will see a green checkmark with the percentage read.
If your professor has not enabled the Acknowledgement feature, he or she will still see information detailing the number of times you have opened the syllabus, the percentage you have read, and the date you last viewed the syllabus.
Navigating Your Syllabus
You can use the menu on the left to navigate to the various sections of your syllabus.

Click [Quick Search] to search within the syllabus.
We strongly recommend that you enable [Subscribe to Updates] to receive email updates any time the syllabus is updated.
You can select the [Syllabus Library] link to view other Lone Star College syllabi that were published via Simple Syllabus. For courses completed prior to Fall 2025, you can find the syllabi on the Syllabus/Vitae Search page.
